Falasarna beach
Falasarna beach are essentially two large beaches, which are separated by some dunes.
The southernmost “Pachia Ammos” is the largest in length and the widest.
The beach "Pachia Ammos" in Falasarna has been awarded as the most beautiful beach in Crete and is always included in the top-10 of the best beaches in Europe, featuring wonderful white fine sand and warm, crystal clear waters.
Pachia Ammos beach is so big that you will hardly feel "drowned" by people even in the heart of summer, when hundreds of others will be around you.
Its only drawback is that it is exposed to north and west winds, so you will often encounter big waves.
However, this is what makes it popular with those who like windsurfing.
The beach in Falassarna is fully organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds for the most part.
There are, however, several free points for those who prefer to put their own umbrella and towel in the sand.
We would recommend you to stay until the afternoon to enjoy the impressive sunset in Falasarna, one of the most impressive in Crete.
